I have taught in a lot of places-- from San Quentin State Prison to Collier Heights Elementary School to KIPP WAYS Academy to the Program in Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies and the Department of African American Studies at Yale University to the program in Queer Studies at Sarah Lawrence College. If you were ever one of my students (especially one of Ms. A-J's All Stars) I would love to hear how you're doing--please do drop a line!
These days I teach on Columbia University's faculty as Assistant Professor of Anthropology. There, my courses include Zora, Ethnographies of Black Life, Toxic, Porous Bodies, Object Histories and the department’s gateway course: Interpretation(s) of Culture.
